Lia Toyota Sponsors I Am Me Kids Fashion Show
Lia Toyota of Northampton recently sponsored the 2023 I am Me Kids Fashion Show presented by Strong Young Minds Inc. and iHeart Media. The I am Me Kids Fashion Show provides funding, financial literacy, and economic development opportunities to inner city youth, college students and young adults who have experienced financial hardships. Strong Young Mind is a 501(c)3 organization, whose mission is to inspire inner city youth to pursue their dreams by organizing events that provide resources, highlight diversity, culture, and unity, while also hosting programs that build their self-esteem, and financial awareness. The event took place at the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield MA on Saturday, March 11th, 2023. With over 1,000 people in attendance and over 150 participants, over 100 children were directly impacted by this event and were able to walk a 30ft runway by themselves, boosting their confidence greatly. Every contribution enables Strong Young Minds to continue their work within the community and helps further push towards their mission and purpose.

BBBS Daffodil Run
Lia Toyota of Northampton is excited to sponsor the 13th Annual Daffodil Run for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampshire County on Sunday, April 30th, 2023. This event has become an annual marker of spring for the town of Amherst and draws hundreds of people to the area to participate and cheer on their family and friends. It includes a 5K Run/Walk & 10K Run plus a post-race party, food, games and more. Big Brothers Big Sisters mission is ‘to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.’ The Daffodil run is the program’s largest fundraiser of the year. The funds raised continue to support the children that Big Brother Big Sisters services, their families, and their mentors.

National Pet Month
May is National Pet Month! Lia Toyota of Northampton is offering 10% OFF service with the donation of needed pet supplies to benefit Thomas J O’Connor Animal Shelter. Plus, when you donate supplies, you will be entered to win a gift certificate to The Good Dog Spot for a grooming for your furry friend at home! Thomas J O’Connor provides care and shelter for pets who have been abandoned or lost, and they need your support. With your help, we can make sure our furry friends have the food and supplies they need until they find their fur-ever homes.
Donations can be made at Lia Toyota of Northampton, 280 King Street, Northampton MA 01060. Needed items are as follows:

Westfield Air Show
Lia Auto Group is a proud sponsor of the Westfield International Air Show at Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield, MA. This is the largest air show in the northeast creating community awareness and community involvement, while providing a family-fun, patriotic event. There will be modern military demonstrations, static aircraft, high powered aircraft demonstrations, interactive attractions, food, drinks, & more! Strong Young Minds Presents Black Vivid – A Juneteenth Celebration
On June 17th, 2021, President Biden signed legislation to make June 19th officially Juneteenth National Independence Day, a United States federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. Strong Young Minds and IHeart Media have come together to present Black Vivid: A Juneteenth Celebration on June 16th and 17th. The goal of the event is to celebrate African American culture, the achievements & contributions of African American leadership, and art. During this event, you can expect A Drone Performance, African Dance Drumming Marching Band & Majorettes, Step Show, A Hair Show, Tribute to Madame CJ Walker, A Fashion Show, Journey through Time, Music & Dance Performances, Food for the Soul, Picnic Tables, Networking & Socializing, Gospel, Art, Spoken word & so much more!
